Dr. Tre was ordained in 2023 as a marriage minister by the non-profit, interfaith and non-denominational constitutional church, American Marriage Ministries. She is also a certified SYMBIS facilitator and can work with any couple to apply its general approach to pre-marital coaching. She is excited when people find each other and decide to walk through life together. Honoring their decision by way of facilitating social recognition, spiritual solemnization, or legal connectedness (or any combination of the three) is her ardent advocacy for relationship freedom.

Dr. Tre is also an award-winning speaker, performer, and creative writer who has been performing on stages and speaking to audiences since childhood. Committed to the art and craft of delivering captivating speaking performances, she continues to train and grow through membership in the Toastmasters, Int’l public speaking club and acting study at Evolv Acting Studio Atlanta. Energized with passion for celebrating family partnerships, she uses these talents to style and officiate custom ceremonies and rituals that reflect the unique energy of each partnership and those in it. She can also assist with writing vows, toasts and speeches, and providing pre-marital/-commitment guidance. Check the Services page for details.
A 25-year career higher educator, Dr. Tre Michael is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and lives in the Atlanta area. A mother and grandmother, she is family- and community-oriented and has been married, partnered, and sustained life-long, intimate connections while also practicing both monogamy and ENM/Polyamory across different parts of her life.
She is intentional about implementing “relationship innovation” which allows for customization that transcends the typical relationship “boxes” as defined by mainstream expectations and traditional norms. Her commitment to relationship freedom has culminated in her passion for honoring partnership unions of all kinds, especially same-gender, legalized unions and formal commitment ceremonies for multi-amorous and other non-mainstream unions.

She believes that life and spousal partnerships are an important part of a strong and nourishing social support system and they exist alongside intimate platonic friendships and supportive blood kinships in that system. Thus, bringing loved ones together to celebrate these commitments helps to solidify a sense of community, belonging, and oneness. It is this sentiment that moved her to officiate weddings.
